NO Climate Hushing: Week 3 in San Francisco

October 4, 2026

On October 1, we gathered again to continue the campaign to Stop Climate Hushing: to bring the climate crisis into everyday conversation and encourage people to take action. Lamentors, puppets, signs and recitations drew the attention of passersby, as we talked to folks and handed out flyers with four climate action categories folks could choose from: Make Polluters Pay; Stop Dirty Data Centers; Solar on Every Rooftop and Vote for Climate Action.

These first 3 actions have been wonderful! XR SFBay has been joined by folks from Scientist Rebellion, 1000 Grandmothers, Make Polluters Pay and Third Act.

Our final gathering for this campaign is Thursday, October 8, 4:30 – 6:00pm. We meet at the north side of the San Francisco Ferry Building. See you there!

Profound thanks to photographers Leon Kunstenaar and Garrett MacLean.
