NO Climate Hushing: Week Two in San Francisco

While fossil-fueled wildfires, floods, and extreme heat mount throughout the country and the world, Americans are becoming increasing quiet about the climate catastrophe. Candidates and the media are also avoiding the topic of climate. This “climate hushing” is disastrous for efforts to turn the climate Titanic around.

Activists from Extinction Rebellion SF Bay Area, along with the 1000 Grandmothers for Future Generations and Scientist Rebellion, gathered on Thursday, September 24th, bringing signs, recitations and the Lamentors street theater to attract and engage with the public and give people concerned or frightened by the climate crisis specific actions they can take. Calls to action included Make Polluters Pay; Support Rooftop Solar; Stop Dirty Data Centers and Vote for Climate Champions. Flyers guided how to act and where to learn more.
